The Shimano Curado 201HG Catana Nano Left-Hand Baitcaster Combo is specially designed to handle the
rigours of modern baitcasting. The Curado Reel’s components ensure
superior casting while the Catana Nano rod takes comfort and
performance to a whole new level.

The Reel
The next generation left-handed Shimano Curado 201HG K
Baitcaster Reel sets a new benchmark in everyday
performance and saltwater durability. Featuring the latest in
Shimano’s innovative MicroModule gearing and X-Ship for smooth
rotation, combined with the new SVS Infinity Braking System for
enhanced casting performance. To withstand the toughest saltwater
environments, the Curado K is designed with a specially plated
pinion gear, combined with a breakwater wall and drainage port to
provide protection against corrosion. This reel is also 10% smaller
compared to the previous model. Enhanced by the metal Hagane Body
to provide added durability and rigidity.

Micro Module gearing
With the gear teeth super-refined to the limit, the Micro Module
Gear system enables seamless engagement and power transmission. The
system reduces noise and provides better sensitivity without
compromising strength

SVS Infinity Braking System
The SVS Infinity Braking System in the Curado reel offers
easy-to-manage, consistent spool control and brake force. It
controls spool speed with the external adjustment knob so you can
make fast and precise adjustments in all conditions.

X-Ship
By supporting the pinion gear on both ends with the S-ARB bearings
and integrating bigger drive gear, Shimano increased the gearing
efficiency and power. This results in a fishing reel with
ultra-light handle rotation; less effort and power giving a perfect
rotation even under heavy loads.

The Rod
The nano materials used in the construction of the Shimano Catana Nano Baitcaster Rod creates a feather light and ultra-responsive rod designed with Kiwi anglers in mind. Ideal for fishing with soft baits, lures and slow jigs.
